Spread across the slopes of the Tecapa and Chinameca volcanoes, this region enjoys mineral-rich volcanic soil and high altitude. Its thick body and sweet chocolate notes are gifts of that soil and climate. It is one of eastern El Salvador’s leading quality regions.
Pacamara, the cross-variety this country created, is widely grown in Tecapa-Chinameca. Large-beaned, it can show complex aromas of herbs, flowers and tropical fruit, and has scored well at the Cup of Excellence.
