Details →Tips for choosing specialty coffee
Pick beans within 2–4 weeks of the roast date. Shops that list a “roast date” are reassuring.
Choose beans with the origin/farm named. “Specialty coffee” on the label is a mark of quality.
Use the tasting notes (e.g. “berry acidity, chocolate finish”) to find beans that match your taste.
Start with a small 100–200g batch, and buy in bulk once you like it.
