About this region

i.Burundian highland polish

Kayanza is one of the highest regions in Burundi, sitting at the northern edge of the East African Great Lakes region, contiguous with southern Rwanda. Careful processing at its washing stations produces clean, fruity cups — this is the standard-bearer of Burundian specialty, fluent in the delicate flavor of the East African highlands alongside Rwanda.

ii.A competition regular with Ngozi

Together with Ngozi, also in northern Burundi, Kayanza lots have stacked up high placements at competitions like the Cup of Excellence. Its refined jasmine-and-black-tea profile, tasted against Rwanda’s Huye and others, leans slightly more berried on the Burundian side — a touch more showy.
