About this region

i.PNG’s biggest origin

The Wahgi is the vast valley forming the core of PNG’s central highlands around Mount Hagen. Favorable altitude, climate and soil combine with disciplined washed processing by cooperatives and large estates, securing its place as Papua New Guinea’s flagship origin. Estates such as Sigri — sometimes called a sibling of Jamaica Blue Mountain — dot the valley.

ii.Tropical meets earthy

An earthy depth resembling nearby Indonesian Sumatra coexists with PNG’s own tropical fruit — that is the Wahgi Valley signature. Around a medium roast, a French press or nel drip lets you take your time with its body and layered sweetness.
